Baku Metro is activating work on opening the new station.
Baku Metro has reported that at present work on tunnel drilling for new metro station at the territory of new bus station has been activated.
" The new station opening is planned for 2013 but everything will depend on course of work ",- the Metro said.
Earlier head of Technical-Industrial department of Baku Metro Main Administration Fuad Tagizadeh said that the Metro purchased tunnel drilling mechanized complexes for activation of new stations construction.
"The cost of tunnel boring mechanized complexes is $30-$50 million. The main aim for purchase of these combines is acceleration of new tunnel laying process. These combines have capacity of 30-40 metres par day which will positively affect strategic plan implementation of Baku Metro development in the next 20 years ",- F. Tagizadeh said.
