Azerbaijan is improving infrastructure for the development of tourism sector.
Azerbaijani MP Vahid Akhmadov says that tourism and quite important industry for Azerbaijan. Development of tourism in Azerbaijan is also envisaged in the Action Plan approved by the head of state.
"In order to ensure tourism our country is also drafting a new tourism bill as many points of the current one have been realized. The world tourism requires more efficient and high quality integration, and in this connection the matter of new tourism law is very important today,” Ahmadov said.
He added that currently Azerbaijan was implementing the second State Programme of Socio-Economic Development 2009-13, which contains the requirements for the development of the country’s regions. Tourism development depends much on development of regions. A range ofm works was done as part of the first program.
"To foster regional tourism it is important to tackle problems associated with gas supply, water supply, and improvement of road infrastructure. At present, we are conducting serious work to solve these challenges that is significant to ensure development of tourism in regions. Solution of these problems will create conditions to attract investors. The first important condition to promote to tourism is to improve the road infrastructure, and relevant active work is under way," Ahmadov emphasized.
