For the last six years of this year quantity of tourists who visited Azerbaijan in comparace with the same period of last year raised on 15%. Firudin Qurbanov chief of staff of Ministre of culture and tourism said about on an interview to Trend dedicated to World tourism day which was held on september 27. According to him this grows shows development of Tourism sector in Azerbaijan. Most of the tourists who visits our country are from Russia, Iran, Turkey, Georgia. For the first half-year quantity of tourist increase on 20 Iran on 14,4 Turkey on 7 %. According to Qurbanov for the last 10 years quantity of visitors increased twice. If in 2001 quantity of visitors compose 767 000, in 2005 -1.177 , but in 2010 1.963 million foreign citizens visited our country. Tourism in Azerbaijan is a priority sphere of non-oil sector said Qurbanov. According to him for the development of tourism in our country are created appopriate circumstances. According to Qurbanov for increasing of income in tourism sphere was fullfiled serious actions. According to specialists calculations investments in oil sphere generate income after 5-6 years but investments in tourism after a year. Tourism stimlate influence on spheres such as agriculture, transport, communication and trade which are connected with it –said Qurbanov. According to him national leader Heydar Aliyev confirmed goverment program on tourism development 2002-2005 in 2002. In the frame of this program was adopted initial measures which are ensure development of tourism. Succesful fulfilment of this program laid the foundation of tourism development in Azerbaijan. According to Qurbanov as increase quantity of objects suppliment of which are main circumstances in tourism sphere. But for the first years of independance of Azerbaijan was not necessary circumstances for coming tourists. At that period tourist could locate only in Inturist hotel which was not appropriate to the world standarts. If in 2001 91 hotels functionated, that in 2010 their quantity increase on 499 said Qurbanov. Quantity of hotel which are explotated now are 50. It shows as that infrastruucture of Azerbaijan become strenghten. It is very good that new objects are appopriate to world standarts. We should take into accout that for the last years in Azerbaijan was undertaken important steps. For implementtion of such measures we need appopriate infastructure and location objects. Naturally government undertake ppopriate steps and we can observe results. Tourists who are visited Azerbaijan emphasized that in the country creates new modern infastructure.
