Azerbaijan has announced renewed data on Gedabey field’s reserves on gold production.
Ecology and Natural Resources Minister of Azerbaijan Huseyngulu Bagirov has informed that earlier the field had 4.970 tons of copper, 6.061 tons of gold and 71.96 tons of silver.
" Following renewed assessment copper reserves total 37.000 tons, gold reserves- 23 tons and silver- 190 tons",- the Minister said.
In his words reserves of Gedabey filed are used by RV Investment company.
" Azerbaijan has entered the list of gold extracting countries and since 2009 the country has extracted over 3 million tons of gold ",- the Minister mentioned.
The contact with RV Investment Group Services LLC envisages development of Gedabey, Gosha, Ordubad( consisting of Piyazbashi, Ag-Yurd, Shekerdere, Keleki fields) , Soyudlu, Gizilbulag and Vejneli fields. So far the exploration is underway only in Gedabey filed.
