Rent prices for first satellite capacities of Azerbaijan determined.
The rent prices for one megabit capacity of the first telecommunication satellite of Azerbaijan will make up $350, Azerbaijani Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov told reporters on Friday.
According to Abbasov, this figure is calculated based on risk because market price for lease of similar capacities is $450-500.
The total resource capacity of spacecraft depends on Ku-band transponders and C-band established on that.
Abbasov noted the first satellite is constructed in accordance with the schedule, and the work over commissioning the second satellite is has been launched.
"A tender, more likely, will be announced in the near future," he stresses.
The second satellite is necessary for Earth's sensing.
Azerbaijan's first satellite Azerspace will be launched at the end of 2012.
