Turkey stated its loyalty to "Nabucco" project.
Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Taner Yildiz informed in a joint press conference held with his Georgian colleague Alexander Khetaguri that Ankara is loyal to "Nabucco" project and wants the construction of this pipeline: “But other partners of the project from European Union should increase their efforts in this issue.”
The Minister brought into attention that Turkey does its best for implementation of the "Nabucco" project and stressed that unsolved main issue is determination of supplier of natural gas which will be transported.
Preparations for implementation of "Nabucco" project have begun after the inter-governmental agreements signed among Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Austria in Ankara on July 13, 2009. But problems related to procurement and financial issues are not solved.
