Our organization has been functioning in the territory of Azerbaijan since 2004 under the name of "Center of Regional Development in Azerbaijan".
The aim of our organization is exposure and estimation of prerequisites of social economic development of the regions of Azerbaijan, as well as elaboration of programs on stimulation of the economy development on the local level.
Basic objectives of our organization:
- working up of data base on natural and resource potential of the regions of Azerbaijan and their systematic renewal;
- real appraisal of the employment status of the population throughout the republic's regions based on social polls carried out directly and locally;
- diversification of regions of the republic according to a level of involvement of economic and human potential in the process of socio-economic development of Azerbaijan;
- determination of priority directions of economic development that still remain unclaimed in each administrative region;
- recommendations on the improvement of legislative acts stimulating development of regional economy;
- systematic organization and holding of seminars, training-courses and summer schools for local inhabitants (in particular, for youth) to propagandize awareness of regional economy;
- institution of the Center's representations on a regional level;
- analysis of the development conditions of business competition in the production sphere;
- implementation of pilot projects on the stimulation of economic development in the country's provincial regions.
